Sabine egger - psychologist
Dip. Psych, MSc, PGDip ClinPsych
Sabine is a Clinical Psychologist and has worked in mental health and addictions settings within the Waikato DHB since 2010, including the Community Alcohol and Drug Service, Dialectical Behavioural Service and Adult Mental Health Service, as well as for ACC sensitive claims in New Zealand. Mindfulness and somatic therapy approaches are of particular interest to her.
Also registered as a Clinical and Health Psychologist overseas, Sabine gained experience at the Institute of Behavioural Therapy and Psychosomatic Medicine in Graz, Austria.
Sabine has been involved in teaching as well as in the training of Clinical Psychology students and in service development. She also provides supervision to Psychologists and other Health Professionals.
Sabine is Austrian and completed her Masters in Psychology at the Karl-Franzens University in Graz, Austria. She moved to New Zealand in 2004 and completed her second Masters degree as well as the Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology at the University of Waikato.
Dr. Matthew Jenkins - Psychiatrist
BSc (Hons), MBChB, FRANZCP
Matthew is a psychiatrist based in the rural Waikato, New Zealand. He has sub-specialty training in Addictions and Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry. He has undertaken further training in various psychotherapeutic disciplines including motivational interviewing and hypnotherapy.
Matthew has presented at international conferences and published works in multiple medical journals. He is a fellow of the Royal Australia and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP).
Matthew also works for the RANZCP on their national committee (Tu Te Akaaka Roa) on matters of national policy and mental health advocacy and, for the New Zealand Medical Council investigating issues of professional conduct.
Additionally, he is employed by the University of Auckland School of Medicine in the capacity of cohort tutor. Prior to 2012, he was working as a doctor in the UK within the NHS. He is British by birth and completed his medical degree at the University of Warwick.
